Annie Isabel (Ferguson) Jones was born on 26 Jan 1886 in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. She was the daughter of Jim Ferguson and Amelia Comley.
At 5 years of age she moved to her family's farming selection at Wallumbilla where she commenced school. She was 14 when her family moved to the farming selection on Booie Road near KIngaroy.
She met Oliver Jones, the son of another pioneering family and they were wed at the Ferguson property in Booie Road, Kingaroy on 10 Feb 1904.
Oliver selected land fronting the Booie Road. Oliver joined the Light horse brigade of the Australian Army during World War I. After his return from the war, the family moved to the Gayndah area of the North Burnett district, establishing a cattle property.
Oliver was killed in 1952 when a car struck his horse. Bell passed away in 1952, 8 months after her husband.
Annie Isabel Ferguson Jones died on 8 Dec 1952 and was buried in the Monto Cemetery, Monto, Queensland. [1]
