Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1875, the daughter of Isaac Ferguson and Sarah Wilson.

No birth record was found for Eliza Jane, her date of birth is taken from the 1901 Census.

Elizabeth was married to Edward Richards in 1896. Their marriage record reads:

Edward Richards, 23, residing in Kitley, born in Elizabethtown, bachelor, farmer, son of Richard Richards & Elizabeth Richards, married

Elizabeth Jane Ferguson, 20, residing and born in Wolford, spinster, daughter of Isaac Ferguson & Sarah Ferguson,

Witnesses: Richard Hinton, Kitley, and Mary Louise Ferguson, Wolford,

On January 29, 1896, at the Residence of the bride's father, Wolford.

Together they had the following children:

1. Stella Jane, married John Nelson Hinton
2. Unnamed Baby Boy, stillborn in 1902

Elizabeth died on August 2, 1902, a few months after the stillbirth of her son. She died from tuberculosis of lungs, over one year.

She was buried at Weir's Cemetery, in Rocksprings, Ontario.
