Edward was born in 1879, the son of Isaac Ferguson and Sarah Wilson.
Edward died on August 15, 1904 in Augusta Township, Grenville County, from chronic pulmonary tuberculosis.
He was buried at St. James Cemetery, in Maitland, Ontario. His headstone is engraved:
