Biography

Irene C. Ferguson, 83, of Harrisonville, passed away July 13, 2012. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm, with Rosary at 7:30 pm, on Wednesday, July 18, at the Park Lawn Chapel, 83rd Street at Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday, July 19, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Blue Ridge at Gregory, Raytown. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Crossroads Hospice. Irene was born October 17, 1928 in Scipio, KS, one of eleven children of Leopold and Mary Elizabeth (Mersman) Rockers. She worked 39 years as a meat wrapper for Milgram Food Stores and was a proud member of the Meat Cutters' Union. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. "Bill" Ferguson; infant son, Dennis Keith Ferguson; and seven siblings. Survivors include her son, Ronald Ferguson and wife Doris; grandchildren, Jenifer Pavlicek and husband Phil, Eric Ferguson and wife Angie; four great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Riley Pavlicek, Brandon and Billy Ferguson; brother, Francis Rockers; sisters, Doris Hartegan and Charlene Ganzer; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
