Reuben was the son of Andrew Ferrell and Annis Looney Ferrell Mitchell, He was born in 1847.
He married Martha Jane Lawson on September 20, 1866 in Hawkins County, Tennesee, she preceded him in death on January 14, 1903.
He married Louisiana 'Susanna' Looney on October 30, 1904 in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
He passed away in 1930.

Ferrell – Reuben C. Ferrell, eighty –three, retired farmer, died suddenly Monday afternoon at the home of a daughter, No. 624 Johnson street.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. E.J. Brown, Mrs. John Wilson and Mrs. J.A. McCoy, and two sons Henry, and Frank Ferrell.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. today. The Rev. R.K. Hutsell will officiate. Burial will be in Bookwalter cemetery. Hall and Donahue will be in charge.
