Anne Ferris was born about 1837 in Clyro, Radnorshire, Wales. She was the daughter of Moses Ferris & Catharine, and was baptised on 5 March 1837 in Clyro, Radnorshire, Wales.[1]

Anne married George Lansbury in Llanfair Cilgeddin, Monmouthshire, Wales. Their marriage was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1855 in the Pontypool district.[2] [3] [4]

Mary Ann was widowed in 1875. In 1880 she married Matthew Henry Lowe, in Whitechapel district [5]

They moved to Derbyshire, and were there for the 1881 census.

There was a death registration for a Mary Ann Lowe, aged 44, in Belper district which may be relevant [6]

By 1891, her husband Matthew Henry had remarried.

In the 1841 census Mary (age 4) was in Banks, Clyro, Hay, Radnorshire, Wales along with parents Moses and Catharine and siblings Elizabeth aged 10 and George aged 8.[7]

In the 1861 census Ann (age 24) was the wife of George Lansbury in Woodbine Grove, Battersea, Croydon, Surrey, England. By this time they had 3 children. They also had two lodgers.[8]

In the 1871 census Ann (age 34) was the wife of George Lansbury in Smiths House Whitechapel Coal Depot, Whitechapel, London & Middlesex, England. 8 of their children were living with them.[9]

In the 1881 census Ann (age 44) was the wife of Henry Lowe on Chapel St, Pentrich, Derbyshire, England. Living with them were;

  • Amey F. Sausbery, daughter aged 15, a bar maid (Cocoa Tavern) born in Albert Road, London, Middlesex, England
  • Frank F. Sausbery, son aged 13, born in Albert Road, London, Middlesex, England
  • Arthur A. Sausbery, son aged 11 born in Albert Road, London, Middlesex, England
  • Hary J. Sausbery, son aged 8 born in Albert Road, London, Middlesex, England
  • Florance E. Lowe, daughter aged 8, born in Princes End, Staffordshire, England
  • Emma A. Lowe, daughter aged 5, born in Princes End, Staffordshire, England .[10]
