Nathan Ferris was born September 3, 1833. He was the son of Nathan and Sarah (Johnson) Ferris.
Nathan Ferris enlisted November 9, 1861 at age 28. He mustered in with Company C of the 73rd Ohio Infantry regiment on December 30, 1861 and transferred to Company A on February 28, 1862.
He was killed in action on June 22, 1864, at the battle of Kenesaw Mountain, (Dallas) Georgia. [1] [2] [3]
He is buried in Marietta National Cemetery in Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia. [4]
