- Omschrijving De 'Veldhoeve'. Het huis werd kort na 1900 gebouwd door de Tilburgse bakker J.Fr. Fick, die er een theetuin begon. In 1905 kreeg hij ook een tapvergunning en bij zijn overlijden in 1912 wordt hij bierhuishouder van beroep genoemd. Na zijn dood werd de tuin geexploiteerd door zijn weduwe en zijn dochter Marie Witters-Fick. In de volksmond was sprak men over de theetuin van Marie Fick. Na een verbouwing, onder architectuur van C.J.F. van der Heyden, werd het pand op 21 januari 1921 betrokken door de Tilburgse commissionair Pierre Bogaers. Hij overleed op de veldhoeve aan tuberculoseop 14 april 1928. Zijn weduwe en dochter vertrokken in 1929 naar Soerabaja. De volgende eigenaar was A. Jansesn, directeur van een incasso-bank te Tilburg. De Veldhoeve werd in 1959 aangekocht voor sloop ter verbreding van de Tilburgseweg. De sloop vond plaats in 1961.
