It is impossible that Peter Fidler had a daughter Sarah born in 1825 when he died in 1822.

Hi cousin! Well, we are very distant cousins, but we have Peter Fidler as a common ancestor. Fidler-117 is the earliest version of Peter Fidler that is on this site, so all the others, like yours, gets merged in and we can figure out how we are related to one another! I think that you need to do a merge for this to happen. I have approved it on my page, now it is your turn.

Ps - I also am born in the 60s!

From DoCB: "But after the union of the NWC and the XY Company in 1804 Fidler faced a formidable opponent, especially in the person of the cruelly effective Samuel Black (Black-12628), who arrived the following year. According to Fidler, the NWC used abusive tactics to intimidate him and his men. They destroyed a canoe, ripped up the garden, scared away game, and nearly burned down the post. “I suppose it was their intention to starve our people out.” Black and his cohorts humbled the HBC men and, with little prospect of trade, Fidler became convinced that the competition was unfair and senseless. "

Intesteresting that (ggggg Grampa) Peter's son, George Fidler, married Nancy Black. I wonder the story there :)
