Mrs. Blanche Brock, Kane Retired Teacher, Dies at Age of 79 Mrs. Blanche R. Brock, 79, of Kane R.D. 1, died last evening at the Kane Community Hospital. She was born May 5, 1899 at Hazelhurst, the daughter of the late William and Lottie Hottenstein Field. She had resided in Kane for the past 50 years with prior residence in Hazelhurst. Mrs. Brock was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Tower Gass of the church and the Retired Teachers Association. She graduated from Clarion Normal School in 1919 and received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Clarion State College in 1957. Mrs. Brock was a teacher in the Kane School District for 35 years retiring in 1966. Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Brock, who died March 4, 1952 and a brother, Arnold. Surviving are a son, Blanchard Brock of Rochester, N.Y. and a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Earla) Coburn of Homer, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Willard Field of Smethport R.D. 1 and Eugene Field of Hazelhurst and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Peterson and Miss Elma Peterson of Kane R.D. 1 and Miss Fern Field and Miss Myrtle Field of Hazelhurst. Friends are invited to call at the Cummings Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pjn. A funeral service will be held there on Monday at 11 ajn. with the Rev. Howard C. Patterson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in McKean Memorial Park, Lafayette.
