Biography
When Nellie Jean Field was born on January 28, 1901, in Connecticut, her father, Ithiel, was 29 and her mother, Ellen, was 25. She married John Vincent Cumming on April 19, 1924, in Hartford, Connecticut. They had two children during their marriage. She died on January 6, 1981, in Ludlow City, Massachusetts, at the age of 79.
