Hi John! (again :)

I'm not only a volunteer Greeter but also, like Guy, I'm a WikiTree Mentor. I stopped by to see how you were doing after a month as a member of WikiTree.

I checked the status of your GEDCOM, but you'll need to upload it again (they're deleted after a time). Or you can enter profiles manually. I've found the best way to research my family in WikiTree is to post what I know and connect to existing profiles when I find them. That way, you can ask questions in G2G from the profile you're stuck on & folks will know what you have already. If you need some tips, check out Getting Started with Genealogy.

If you have any questions, you can post in G2G or give me or Guy a holler.

Cheers, Liz

Hi!

How are you? I'm Guy a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

Check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide to get you started.

Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

When creating profiles, remember to add where you found the information. See: Sources

And I'm here to help too, just ask!

Guy

Welcome John!

I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), you’ll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, click my name and check out the "Greeter" section-especially the Sources links and the link to Debby, a former greeter, who has helpful information on her profile page also.

If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in WikiTree Help or How to Use WikiTree, you can post to G2G or give me a holler.

Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.

Enjoy!

Hello John, Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
