Biography

Sarah Field was the daughter of Zachariah and Abigail Field. She was born in 1710 in East Bridgeport, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts Bay colony, New England.

On November 1, 1737, Sarah married Rev. Joseph Snow, in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. They soon moved to Providence, Providence County, British colony of Rhode Island, New England, where her husband became pastor of the Beneficent Congregational Church. They had 7 children, all in Providence RI:

  1. John Snow b: 3 FEB 1740, in Providence, Rhode Island
  2. Joseph Snow b: 2 Sep 1742
  3. Lydia Snow b: 8 JAN 1744
  4. Susanna Snow b: 14 OCT 1745
  5. Elizabeth Snow b: 10 OCT 1747
  6. Abigail Snow b: 26 MAR 1749
  7. Josiah Snow b: 24 FEB 1750

On July 19, 1753, Sarah (Field) Snow died in Providence, Rhode Island, leaving her pastor husband Joseph with 7 minor children to raise. She was buried in Providence, RI. [1]
