Biography

Albert was the youngest of 6 children of Harry Finch and Adalaide Bates.^[1] He dropped out of high school but then in his early 20's returned and got regular diploma. Albert worked at Curtiss-Wright Aircraft in Buffalo and was drafted into the Army even though in that job. He married at 25 and lived in Williamsville, NY. He only saw his son on one occasion when he was home on leave before being shipped out. He was killed in Eschelbach, Nuenstein, Germany during World War II in 1945 only weeks before the war's end.
