Roscoe was born in 1900. He was the son of Leon Finch and Ida Wall. He passed away in 1941.
Per the Federal Census, as of April 2, 1930, Roscoe Finch (then 29) lived at home with his parents and sister, Ruth H. Finch in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. In 1930, Roscoe took employment with John Morrell & Co., in Indianapolis, working one of the Sioux Falls sales routes. He worked a year and a half in that capacity, before being promoted to "general work".
Roscoe Finch married Anna Mae Bird in March, 1930, in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky (per Anna's obituary). Their children were Richard Bird Finch (1930–1995) and Mary Ann (Finch) Vandivier (1934–2021).
Anna Mae Bird was born March 6, 1908 in Greensburg, Indiana and was the daughter of Ira Bird and Luna Tarplee. Anna was a practical Nurse and a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church of Indianapolis Indiana.
In 1934 "Rocky" was transferred to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he was dubbed, "Crackerjack Salesman" of John Morrell Company's Sioux Falls Plant. In 1939, Anna's widowed mother, Luna (Tarplee) Bird, came to live with the family in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
Roscoe Wall Finch died by suicide in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 6, 1941, (age 40). Funeral services were handled by Farley Funeral Home - 1604 West Morris Street, Indianapolis, Indiana [now Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center].
Burial was at the South Park Cemetery (Plot: Sect. #1, SW 1/4 - 271) in Greensburg, Decatur, Indiana on May 10, 1941.
