Jennie Finley Farley probably left Ireland for America with her husband, Thomas Farley. They may have come from Boyne. They may have been in North Caroliona in the 1740s.
Thomas Farley was in York Co., Pennsylvania around 1750 (from record of a deed in which his land was mentioned as a bounds to the property being sold.) In 1771 Thomas Farley purchased land on Patterson's Creek in what was then Hampshire County, Virginia (now WV), and it was there that he died in 1781 or '82. Only 3 daughters were named in his will, apparently all unmarried:
Mary
Margaret
Eleanor
The others had likely received their share at the time of their marriage:

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jennie by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jennie:
Finley-1429 and Finley-1388 appear to represent the same person because: There is a Jane Finley Farley b 1755-60 in York County, Pennsylvania, DAR registtered, according to some notes I discovered from unknown source. However, This Jane could be a cousin, or perhaps this or the later one is the wrong generation. Anyway, it seems best to work from one file for now.
