Sarah Phinney was born on January 2, 1852.[1] She was the daughter of Josiah Finney and Nancy Hicks. She married Silas Hicks on November 14, 1871.[2] They had (at least) six children, two of whom died as children.
Sarah died on February 10, 1902 and was buried in the Midgic Cemetery.[3]

↑ 1901 census says January 2, 1847. Cemetery transcript says 1951. Other censuses give birth year as 1852. As Sarah was not with the family on the 1851 census, and was said to be 9 at the time of the 1861 census, 1852 seems more likely.
