Thomas Halhed Fischer was the son of Major Thomas Fischer (1798-1847) & his wife Emily Maria née Terraneau
Death notice in The Scotsman, Tuesday, 3 Nov 1914, reads: DEATH OF AN AGED KING'S COUNSEL.--The death occurred at his residence at Bedford Park, London, on Sunday night, of Mr Thomas Halhed Fischer, the oldest King's Counsel. He was called to the Bar in 1851, took silk in 1862, and was appointed a Master in Lunacy in 1896, a position he still held at the time of his death.
