Biography

Cary was born on 12 July 1870 in Spencer, Indiana to Wesley & Elizabeth (Hubbell) Fiscus.[citation needed]

In 1880, Cary was 9 years old. He and his parents and his eight siblings were living in Jefferson Township, Owen County, Indiana.[1]

He married Sarah "Sally" Winklepleck on 18 Oct 1892 in Owen County, Indiana.[2]

In 1900, Cary and Sarah were still living in Jefferson Township, Owen County, Indiana. They had four children -- Leonard (8), Ora M. (7), Roy A. (4) and Irvin R. (1).[3] Roy was a twin to Paul who died in infancy.

The family moved to Urbana, Illinois in Apr 1904 to a house on S. Walnut Street.[4]

At the time of the 1920 Census, Cary and Sarah were living at 110 East Park St. in Champaign, Illinois with four of their children -- Ray (22), Ervin ("Irbin") (20), Raymond (15) and May ("Mae") (14). They also had two roomers livings with them: Hiram Wilsey, age 60, and George Garrison, age 50.[5]

On 15 Oct 1929, their son Raymond died at the age of 25.

In 1940, Cary was 70 years old, widowed and living in Urbana, Illinois with his daughter "Mae," her husband Harold, and their 13-year-old daughter, Lois.[6]

Cary died on 3 Jul 1957 at the age 86.[citation needed] He is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery in Mayview, Illinois.[7]

This is probably the death certificate for Cary's wfie, Sarah Winklepleck:

"Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths, 1916-1947," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NQZ1-DHQ : accessed 19 Sep 2014), Sarah E. Fiscus, 23 Sep 1933; citing Public Board of Health, Archives, Springfield; FHL microfilm 1675016.

Fiscus-175 and Fiscus-148 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be the same person -- I have his wife as Sally Winklepeck. I just haven't taken the time to add in her profile yet. They also had 7 children: Leonard, Ora, Fannie, Raymond W., Paul & Roy (twins who died in infancy), Ervin and May.

Does any of this match with what you have?
