Biography

Amanda was born on 26 Dec 1879 to Solomon and Mary (Hauser) Fiscus.[1]

In 1880, an unnamed daughter was listed in the household of Solomon and Mary Fiscus, and this corresponds to Amanda's birth date.[2]

Amanda was still living with her parents, now in Franklin Township, Owen County, Indiana, at the time of the 1900 Census. The household also included seven of her siblings -- Miralda, Isabell, Elias, Frank, Ollie, Delaney and Alice.[3]

She married Fred E. Butz on 6 Jan 1901 in Owen County, Indiana.[4][5]

The 1920 Census showed Amanda and Fred living and farming in Pesotum, Champaign County, Illinois, with their three daughters.[6]

In 1930, they were living in Champaign, Illinois, and their household included their daughter Mary with her infand daughter, Irma.[7] The same household continued in Champaign at the time of the 1940 Census.[8]
