According to Fish and Denison families' genealogy records, Jonathan Fish married second, Phebe (Denison) Avery (1741-1818), widow of Ebenezer Avery (he was killed at the Ft. Griswold massacre). The date of their marriage is uncertain; their online memorial sites state that they were married in 1782, however Jonathan's first wife lived until 1790. Probative work is encouraged.
Jonathan Fish died 26 December 1796 at Groton, Connecticut. His grave is in Old Packer Burying Ground, Burrows Cemetery, Groton, Connecticut [1].
