Biography

Elizabeth Fiske was baptised at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, on 28 August 1737.^[1]

Elizabeth was the second daughter and the second of the seven children born to Samuel Fiske, and his wife, Anna Bemis.^[1]

Elizabeth married Nathan Hobbs of Weston on 6 May 1756,^[1] at Waltham.^[2] Nathan, baptised at Weston on 3 February 1733/4, was the son of Josiah Hobbs and his wife, Esther, who were admitted on 16 January 1731/2 to the church in Weston from 2nd church in Boston.^[2] Josiah Hobbs embarked at Gravesend for New England in May 1671.^[2]
