Biography

Benjamin Fitch was born on 22 Aug 1719. He was the son of Benjamin Fitch and [[Reed-849}|Hannah Read].

Benjamin married Zipporah Haskell in Norwich, New London County, Connecticut Colony on 24 Mar 1743.[1] They registered the births of six children in Norwich:

  1. Daniel Fitch (b. 28 May 1744)[2]
  2. Joseph Fitch (b. 5 Aug 1746)[3]
  3. Benjamin Fitch (19 Feb 1748/9)[4]
  4. Desire Fitch (10 Oct 1751)[5]
  5. Sarah Fitch (27 Jul 1754)[6]
  6. Lemuel Fitch (Dec 1757)[7]

Benjamin Fitch died on 12 Jul 1780, probably in or near Franklin, New London County, Connecticut, where he was buried in the Plains Cemetery.[8]
