Biography

From Fitts, "The Genealogy of the Fitts or Fitz Family in America":

Daniel Fitts married Abigail Currier, daughter of Samuel Currier of So. Hampton, and settled in Sandown, N. H., his farm then covered with woods. He gave deeds, 1754, May 1 ; 1758, Nov. 7, and Dec. 8 ; 1759, Mar. 15; 1760, Dec. 25; 1761, Mar. 20; 1781, Jan. 27. His Will was dated at Sandown, July 21, 1783, and presented for Probate. June 15, 1785.^[1]

Children, the oldest bom in So. Hampton, the others in Sandown. 46. -Hannah, b. Sept. 21, 1756 ; m. Stephen Hobbs of Poplin, N. H., and had Stephen, Anna, Daniel, Sarah. f 47. Richard, b. Aug. 8, 1758 ; d. Dec. 9, 1826. 48. Sarah, b. June 23, 1761 ; m. Noah Scribner of Raymond, and had Anna, Daniel, John, Sylvia, Abigail, f 49. Samuel Currier, b. Aug. 1, 1763 ; d. Jan. 20, 1841. 50. Betsey, b. Jan. 26, 1766; m. Winthrop Sanborne of Salisbury, N. H., and had John, Elizabeth, m. her cousin Stephen Hobbs ; Ira, Sarah, Daniel, Cyrus, Sargent. 51. Daniel, b. June 18, 1768 ; d. Jan. 30, 1841. 52.. Abel, b. Mar. 28, 1771 ; d. Mar. 11, 1826. 53. Nancy, b. June 29, 1773 ; m. Thomas Quimby of Danville, and had David, Mary, Currier. 54. Ezekiel, b. Aug. 5, 1775 ; unm. ; drowned at Vergennes, Vt., May 8, 1826. 55. Mary, b. Jan. 29, 1779 ; m. William Bagley of Candia, and' had Currier, Henry, Mary, d. young. She afterward m. Baron of Thornton, N. H„ by whom she had children.^[1]
