According to two 1767 peerage accounts, Sir John de Hay John (Hay) de Haya, son of Sir William de Hay William (Hay) de Haya, was married about 1200. Sir John's mother. therefore, would have been born no later than about 1165. The year 1205 is clearly wrong.
