DENISE (or DIONIS) FITZTHOMAS married before 1242-3 ROBERT D'EIVILLE (or DE DAIVILLE, DEYVILLE, DE EYVILL), Knt., of Egmanton, Nottinghamshire, son of John d'Eiville by Maud, daughter of Joselin de Louvan, of Petworth, Sussex. They had two sons, John, Knt., and Adam.
In 1242-3 Thomas Fitz William brought an assize of mort d'ancestor against Robert and his wife, Denise (sister of the said Thomas), regarding the manor of Greetwell, Lincolnshire, Thomas granted them the manor to hold to them and the heirs of Denise rendering 13 marks annually.
Sir ROBERT D'EIVILLE was living in 1242-3. In or after 1252 John de Warenne, Earl of Surrey brought a writ of entry against Denise, widow of the said Robert, concerning the manor of Greetwell, Lincolnshire, and agreement was made so that Thoma Fitz Willimn rendered the manor to the earl.
In 1259-60 Denise was given land by the said Thomas in exchange for the manor of Greetwell; she died seized of the said Iand sometime in or before 1283-4. [1][2][3][4][5] (Added by Andrew Bassett-Smith, 21 March 2014)

Her son John was born in 1242 so she was born c1225 or earlier. But her mother was born c1166, so she should have been born much earlier than c1225. c1210 is the best compromise, I think.
