Biography
Reuben was born in Maryland in about 1719.
He was married to Abarilla Hyatt Prather after the death of her husband in about 1764. He and Abarilla moved to Ninety SIx District in the piedmont area of South Carolina. He is listed on the 1779 census for that district.[1]
Reuben is listed in Laurens District, South Carolina in 1790.
Reuben and Abarilla had two children, Reuben and Fanny. Reuben Jr. is listed on the 1790 census in Laurens District on the same page with his father. Henry Owens is also listed on that census on the same page. Henry was married to Frances or Fanny Flanagan. Reuben Jr. and Fanny are mentioned in the will of Abarilla in 1814 in Newberry District
Reuben died in Newberry District in about 1798.
