I never have found much information on Louisa Flatt. I did find someone who had a common ancestor, James Flatt, and she was writing a book on him. I haven't heard if she finished it.
Also, the Rice family, which was Louisa's mother's family (Rebecca Rice Flatt), was a very prominent family in Hardin County. They had a large legal firm, and Alfred Pitts (son of Barbee Pitts and Felicia Wilson) was married to Elizabeth Rice who, I believe was part of this family. However, I can't tie Rebecca to her. He was also a member of the Tennessee state legislature. I got this information from from the Hardin county site and a book called Tennessee Cousins that is on the Genealogy Library site.
