DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Family Search has William Jacob Fleetwood listed as marrying Susannah Parrott on 25 Oct. 1729 in Bertie, NC, British Colonial America.

William Jacob Fleetwood's ID is LLMG-S8S and Susannah Parrott's ID is LVHV-RFK . Children are Susannah (1734-), Francis (1736-1769), Henry (1736-1769), Ann (1737-1795), William (1737-1799), Elizabeth (1738-) Edward (1745-), Isaac 1745-1832 although birthdate on his stone is clearly 1743), Winnifred (1746-1818), James (1751-). It lists Elizabeth Ann Ashley (1720-1764) as marrying William Jacob so perhaps she is James' mother, since Susannah died 1750 and was pretty old to have a child in 1751. Actually is the death date for Susannah Parrott was "before" "after" or "about" 1750?

Can any one out there confirm or deny that William Fleetwood Is the father of Jacob Fleetwood.Thank you Paul J Fleetwood
