Biography

Lady Faith Fleming was the daughter of Malcolm Fleming Sir 3rd Earl of Wigtoun, born abt 1306 in Biggar, Lanarkshire, Scotland, and Christian born about 1307 in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire, Scotland

Research Notes

This profile has multiple issues and more research is needed prove existence of this person:

  1. Wikipedia indicates that only Fleming were Earl of Wigtown, therefore Malcolm was not the third Earl of Wigtown.[1]
  2. Sources for father Malcolm, who is probably this Malcolm Fleming (he is form Biggar, the birth date is close and he has a wife named Christian) do not show a daughter named Faith.
  3. Similarly, sources for Thomas Boyd, do not cite the name of a wife and indicate her name was not known.
  4. Faith is uncommon name for this era in Scotland.

Thomas Boyd and his three children have been detached from Faith until such time her existence can be shown.
