Amaryllis Marie-Louise Fleming was one of Britain's foremost cellists.[1] The Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall in London is named in her honour.
Amaryllis Fleming was born on 10 Dec 1925.[2] She was the daughter of Eve Fleming, widow, and Augustus John, painter. They were not married, and Amaryllis was raised by Eve under the pretense of an adopted daughter until she was an adult.[1][3]
She did not marry or have children.
Amaryllis Marie-Louise Fleming died on 27 Jul 1999.[1] Her death was registered in Kensington & Chelsea district, London, England.[2]
