Joseph Fletcher was born in Littleton. Middlesex County, Massachusetts August 6, 1769. He was the son of Eleazer Fletcher and Mary Fletcher Fletcher.[1][2]
Joseph was married in Acton, Middlesex County, on March 29,1796 to Lucy Tuttle, daughter of Simon Tuttle and Rebecca Holden Tuttle. After her death in 1817, he married (2) Sarah (Barker) Cole, widow of Joseph Cole. [3]
He was a cooper,by trade, making hogshead barrels for rum, which were taken to Boston by ox cart for export, He also made barrels and kegs for local cider. [4]
Joseph Fletcher passed away April 3, 1844. He is buried in Westlawn Cemetery in Littleton.[5][1][2]
