John M. Fletcher was born October 16, 1884[1][2]in Cannonville, Utah. He was the eleventh child of Kendall Asa Fletcher and Emma Asay.
On December 29, 1913, in nearby Panguitch, John married Maggie Mae Henderson, the ninth child of William Jasper Henderson and Alvira Aurelia Dickson. [3] John and Mae had three sons and a daughter.
John and Mae later moved to Springville where John owned a gas station and store.
In 1939 after their eldest son John "Clele" was married and Quentin had started his studies at Utah State, John developed a respiratory infection which eventually was diagnosed as pneumonia. He passed away on July 6, 1939.[4] He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Springville.
