Biography

Annie and Stephen Wells shifted to Nelson just before the great war, to look after their son-in-law (Fred Lewis) farm while he was away at War.

Aunt Annie Wells was a familiar relative to the family, even though she lived in Nelson. This is probably due to her husband being a sea Captian and being able to sail to and from Nelson with ease.

Annie was visiting in Maungaturoto in Jan 1938 and helped Florence Smith nurse the burns on Albert Smith.

Buried on 11 June 1941 at Wakapuaka Cemetery, Nelson She was then 79 years old
