Biography

Katie's first husband died before she was 21. Not much is known about him. Per her Indian enrollment card, her parents were Thomas B and Carrie (Caroline) Fletcher and she was 1/16 Chickasaw.

In 1900 she is living with her father and siblings and the family of a step-brother^[1] In 1910 she lists herself as a widow, living with her parents and two young sons.^[2]

She is cited in numerous Indian Rolls from 1899-1907^[3]

She married Thomas Lawson 18 Sep 1911 in Caddo, Oklahoma ^[4]

By 1920 she is found with her two sons from her first marriage, living with her new husband and additional children.^[5]
