Welcome to WikiTree and DNA.

When you are ready to start documenting that your genealogy sources are confirmed by DNA test matches, be sure to follow the guidance at the DNA Confirmation help page. A profile should not be marked "confirmed with DNA" without DNA match source documentation. Also, try out the DNA Confirmation Citation Maker app, it can simplify the job of creating and/or validating DNA confirmation source citations.

If you have questions or need assistance, please add the Tags "DNA" and/or "DNA_Confirmation" to questions on the G2G forum.

Hi Matthew,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi Matthew,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hello Matthew, I wanted to award you a badge and asked a member which one they suggested and they said the Family Star badge. Just checking if it was on your profile, and it look’s like you’ve awarded it yourself sorry. You deserve the badge anyway! Kindest regard’s, from Carole. Ashton-1288

Matthew, thanks for looking into this but all I see is the original document with reference points. I don't understand them or how to use them. I did not see anything transcribed. So I went to his grave today and it says that he was born in 1853. It isn't direct proof. It is secondary proof just like Seth's death certificate which is what I went by. Now I am confused on his birth. Please do investigate as you said. Maybe It can help. Thanks a bunch.

Hi Matthew,

I’m Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what you’d like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we don’t hear back from you we’ll assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

Susie :-)

Thank you Matthew for your help with Edwards-17350. I was a bit stuck. I appreciate that so much! You also went above and beyond! I did see a record for a Blacksmith, but wasn't sure if it was him. I know a little bit more about him now. I now know he arrived in Port Chalmers, Otago, New Zealand and how long it took him to get there from Gravesend. I also wasn't 100% on his parents, but you appear to have come to the same conclusion. If I haven't already said thanks, I mean it :)
