MARRIAGE
8th February 1852 in St. John's Church, Deans Gate, Manchester. Richard Webster of Brewery Street, a joiner by trade was married to Charlotte Fletcher of Piccadilly. Richard's father is Joseph Webster, a farmer, and Charlotte's father is George Fletcher, a surgeon. Witnesses were John Ellison and Harriet Fletcher.
Richard and Charlotte emigrated with their children; Richard, Arthur & Charlotte - ship : JOHN SCOTT left London 18th Nov, 1857 arrived Auckland 7th March 1858 : reported in The New Zealander, 9 Mar 1858
by 1886, Charlotte Webster was keeping a boardinghouse in Upper Queen Street, Auckland. Her husband Richard was a carpenter and builder working in Thames. [1]
WEBSTER - On October 25th Charlotte, aged 72 years, the dearly-beloved wife of Richard Webster, of the Thames, son of Jane and Joseph Webster, late of Wolfall Hall Farm, Hyton, Lancashire, England. The deceased arrived in Auckland on 20th March, 1859, in the ship John Scott. Manchester and Liverpool papers please copy.
