32 (15/Jun93) Mary Griffin appears in several records but she was "Widow Griffin." L Rhodes writes that her maiden name was KING. According to a letter from Linda Rhodes, 15 Jun 1993: "Wiley staes that some records from some Griffins from Martin Co, NC, indicates MARY GRIFFIN was a KING." She adds that Mary was probably married to ANDREW D. GRIFFIN and had at least three Griffin sons: James, Andrew, & Theopholus Griffin. Linda also gives: b 1769; d. Sept. 7, 1821. She notes "The names of FLOWERS and BARRETT have also been suggested as related lines."
