My g-grandfather Lafayette (Lafe) Floyd and his son-in-law Elbert Chastain were hit by a train in a car at a railroad crossing on the west side of Salem,Indiana. Elbert Chastain was killed instantly and Lafe Floyd died a few days later at a hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
