FLINN, JOHN H. of Kimball was found dead in bed Saturday morning (27 Fe b 1909), his decease being due to apoplexy. The day before he had been in best of health & spirits & it is said, went to bed whistling. When his wife awoke at his side his hand felt cold & upon examination she found he was dead. Death had come instantly & painlessly from apoplexy. He was born in Rappahannock Co. In the civil war he belonged to Co. E. White' s Battalion & it is testimony of his old comrades that he was a true faithful solider of even desperate courage. He was a member of Rosser-Gibbon's Camp, Luray. His skill as a carpenter and builder kept him busy employed through his life. The day before his death he was engaged in sawing out brackets for a house. He was twice married. By his first wife, who was a Miss Presgraves, he leaves the following children, A. E. Flinn of Luray, Frank Flinn of Kimball, Mrs. Kyle of Washington, Howard Flinn. His second wife who was a d/o Noah Fox, deceased, survives him with a little girl ten years old. Interment in Green Hill Cemetery.
FLINN, JOSEPH M. age 58 yrs. died 06 May 1898 at Detroit Michigan from paralysis. Wife #2 surviving & 10 children. Brothers & sisters - A. E. Flinn, John H. Flinn & Mildred Coffman. His first wife died about 12 years ago.
