Research Notes
This family is linked via DNA matches. There are gravesites and family stories that are supporting the DNA, but the documentation is still being pieced together. For instance, the character reference that William Flynn (1837-1913) received from the protestant minister in Woodford, Ireland supports the immigration in 1853. There are naming patterns within the family - William, James, Francis, Eliza, Jane, George, etc
Their children are:
James Flynn, b. 1816 in Mountshannon, Ireland, d. 5 Oct. 1890 in Middlesex, Ontario, Canada
Margaret Flynn, b. 2 April 1829 in Mountshannon, Ireland, d. 2 April 1922 in Parkhill, Ontario, Canada, marr. Newton Clarke
Eliza Flynn, b. 4 May 1835 in Mountshannon, Ireland, d. 24 June 1901 in Stephen, Ontario, Canada, marr. George Clarke
On William Flynn's character reference it shows that he is the son of the Sexton.[2]
On William Flynn's death certificate "John Flynn" is listed as his father and Eliza Burk is listed as his mother.[3]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
