Biography

John Fobes, son of Caleb Fobes, d. Feb. 18, 1738-9, m., Jan. 14, 1718-9, Ruth Bruster (Brewster?), had eleven chi. given on Preston Town Record.[1]

Tombstone inscription: Here lies interred the body of Deacon John Fobes who died Febry the 18th 1739 in the 44th year of his age" "Prepare for Deateh Before it coms"[2]
