Biography

John Doyle, a retired Buckeye Pipeline Co. employee was bom May 16, 1879 in Doylestown, Pa. and moved to Cygnet about 40 years ago. He married Mary Josephine Foose in 1901, and she died in 1955. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cygnet and its Holy Name Society.

Survivors include five daughters:

1. Mrs. Louis Conrad of Toledo,
2. Mrs. Judith Hobbs of Hartville,
3. Mrs. Harry Pheiffer of Custar, and
4. Mrs. C.J. Vallely and
5. Mrs. Kenneth V. Lewis, both of Santa Monica, Calif. Two sons
6. John T. of Ypsilanti, Mich., and
7. Leo J. of Baton Rouge, La,

Cygnet- Ill. 18 months, Mrs. John M. Doyle (Mary Josephine Foose), 72, died at 3:30 am today at her home in Cygnet. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Cygnet, and its Altar Society and a Cygnet resident for 39 years. Friends may call at the Rippeth Funeral Home, North Baltimore, where Rosary will be said at 8 pm Sunday. The funeral will be at 10 am Monday in Sacred Heart Church and Burial will be in Jerry City Cemetery.

Mrs. Doyle was born July 8, 1882, at Doylesburg, Pa., the daughter of Enoch and Rebecca Foose. On August 21, 1892, she was married to Mr. Doyle, who survives. Other survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Lewis Conrad and Miss Margaret Doyle, both of Toledo, Mrs. Clifford Vallely, of Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Harold Reifer, of Custar, two sons, John of Wayne, Mich., and Leo, of Lake Charles, La., 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and one brother, Marshall Foose, of Chambersburg, Pa.
