Biography
When Susanna Forney was born on April 7, 1807, in Frederick, Maryland, her father, John, was 35, and her mother, Christena, was 35. She married John Sluss on December 3, 1832, in Frederick, Maryland.[1] They had eight children:
- Lucy Ann Christian Sluss (1834–1919)
- John Michael Sluss (1836–1852)
- Alice Jane Sluss (1838–1921)
- William Harrison Sluss (1839–1923)
- David Jefferson Sluss (1841–1854)[2]
- Susan Catharine Sluss (1843–1922)
- Isemiah Elizabeth "Isie" Sluss (1847–1941)
- Alfred Taylor Sluss (1849–1870)
John died on February 15, 1890 and Susanna died on January 25, 1896, in Maryland having lived a long life of 88 years, and was buried in Emmitsburg, Maryland.[3]
