Biography

Marie Marthe Fortin was born on 5 Nov 1749 in L'Islet. She was the daughter of Louis Fortin and his first wife Marie Claire Morin. Godparents at Marthe's baptism were François Fortin (uncle?) and Marie Marthe Fortin. At age 19 Marthe married Joseph François Labry [aka Mignot] on 23 Oct 1769 in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli. There were three known children born into this marriage. She passes away on August 26, 1777 and buried 2 days after[1].
