Biography

1776 Project
Pierre Denis Fortin served with French-Canadians Rendering Aid during the American Revolution.

Pierre Denis was born in 1733 at Cap St Ignace to Jean Baptiste Fortin and Angélique Richard.

Growing up in Cap St Ignace he like so many other habitants of his time will spend his entire life in one place. It is here that he was born and baptized, it is here that he was married and baptized all but two of his children and here that he will die.

He married 3 Feb 1752 in Cap St Ignace to Ursule Bernier the daughter of Isidore Bernier and Ursule Catherine Belleau.
