Biography
Gertrude Fossard was born about 1084 in South Otterington, Yorkshire, England, daughter of Nele Fossard (~1040–~1120).
She is thought to be the daughter of Nele Fossard and sister of Robert Fossard.
Gertrude married firstly Robert de Meinell (d. bef. 1135). [1]
Gertrude married secondly Jordan Paynel. [2][3][4]
Research Notes
Some online pedigrees show Gertrude as the daughter of Robert Fossard, based on an old account of Trinity Priory, published in the York volume of the Archaeolgical Institute (p. 98). [3]
Cokayne states that Gertrude was the daughter of Nele Fossard, and the sister of Robert Fossard. [2]
