I've attached a Early New England Families (ENEF) sketch for Hopestill's father. Its recent and well sourced. It says that Hopestill was only married once to Elizabeth Payson, who remarried to Edmund Browne after Hopestill's death.
I believe that the Elizabeth Whitmore in that marriage record, married a different Hopestill Foster of Billerica, and that she was Elizabeth (Pierce) Whitmore ( widow of Thomas Whittmore). Any objections to disconnecting Elizabeth Whitmore and attaching the children to Elizabeth Payson?
Thanks. (PM if you would like a copy of the ENEF sketch).
