Biography
Elizabeth Green was born June 27, 1683 and christened at Westminster Parish, Anne Arundel county, Maryland, the daughter of John and Judy Green. [1]
On February 15, 1703, at Saint Barnabas church, in Queen Anne Parish, Prince George's county, Maryland, Elizabeth married John Foster. [2] The couple had the following children:
John Foster, born 24 Jan 1709, Queen Anne Parish, Prince Georges County, Maryland.
Richard Foster, born 14 Aug 1710, Queen Anne Parish, Prince Georges County, Maryland; died before 1717, at less than six years of age.
Thomas Foster, born 14 Feb 1711, of St Stephen Parish, Cecil County, Maryland; died in Prince Georges County, Maryland.
Hugh Foster, born 07 Jul 1715, Queen Anne Parish, Prince Georges County, Maryland.
Richard Foster, born 04 Jul 1717, Queen Anne Parish, Prince Georges County, Maryland.
On January 24, 1720, at the Saint Barnabas Church, in Queen Anne Parish, Prince George's county, Maryland, John Swan married Elizabeth Green(e), as her second husband. [3] Elizabeth's first husband, John Foster had died, leaving four sons: John, Richard, Thomas and Hugh Foster. John died about 1727. [4]
Elizabeth and John are the parents of two more children:
John Swan, born May 1721, married Elizabeth Lucas and established Jefferson Township in what would become Greene county, Pennsylvania [5]
Comfort Swan, born July 5, 1725, in Queen Anne Parish, Prince George's county, Maryland, married Arthur Thompson [6]
