Biography

Mary E. Foster, daughter of Jonathan and Huldah (Griffin) Foster, was born circa 1837 at New York, USA. She appeared on the census of 20 Oct. 1850 in the household of her parents at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.^[1]

She married Edwin Hatch circa 1855.^[2]

She and Edwin appeared on the census of 18 July 1860 at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.^[2] Edwin was killed on 7 June 1862 at Gaines Milles, Virginia in the US Civil War.^[3]

She married Charles Potts circa 1865.^[4]

She and Charles appeared on the census of 17 Aug. 1870 in the household of her mother at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.^[4]

She appeared on the census of 1925 at the Iowa Soldiers Home, Marshall town, Marshall County, Iowa.
